Impetus
At the point where my second child was eighteen months old, I started thinking about going back to work. It was go time. If I were ever to be an artist, I needed to get serious about it. The experience of art school had impacted my ability to create negatively. Whenever I started doing anything, the voices of my teachers and co-students got so loud and uncomfortable in my head, I didn’t get anything done.
So I surrendered. I said: Please, please let the art that needs to come through me come freely. Give me directions and I will paint. I open up to love.
Exploration
What came through me was a watercolor series of the human chakras.
